MEDIA ADVISORY: March 2006
Shiver and Shake!
You're Invited to the The Closet Ghosts Book Release Party
Join in the fun and celebrate The Closet Ghosts, a playful story about the
power of one girl's imagination and her ability to find comfort in a new
place. In a rare visit to the Bay Area, award-winning author Uma
Krishnaswami will be storytelling, and San Francisco's own Shiraaz Bhabha
will show the art of The Closet Ghostsfrom concept sketches to finished
paintings. Kids can make their own "ghostie-toastie" art project and learn
the traditional dance movements of Hanuman, the mighty monkey hero from
Indian mythology. Book signing to follow. Hosted by Children's Book Press
and the Asian Art Musuem, with a special thanks to Burma SuperStar and the
Asia Café for their generous donations.
