Methods of Payment

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. If paying by check, please contact us at toll free (866) 935-2665 ext. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST to verify the total cost of your purchase, including tax and shipping. We do not accept check payments for online orders.

Order Processing, Shipping Methods, Delivery Times, and Charges

All orders will be processed and shipped no later than 3 days after receipt of order and payment. Larger orders may require additional time to process and pack for shipment.

Shipping charges are $5 for the first book, plus $1 each additional book. Orders are shipped via USPS Media Mail and may take 3-10 business days to be delivered depending on location. Expedited shipping methods such as FedEx and UPS Ground and Air service are available if needed, for an additional cost. To request a rush or overnight shipment, please contact us at toll free (866) 935-2665 ext. 17 from 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST to schedule this service and confirm expedited charges. Expedited shipping cannot be sent to P.O. Boxes.

Note: We will do everything possible to get books to you in a timely manner, however, Children’s Book Press is not responsible for transit times once orders have been shipped. Although there are rarely any problems, transit times are provided by the carrier, exclude weekends and holidays, and may vary because of destination, particularly during peak periods. Please take this into consideration when placing your order.

Sales Tax

Only orders within California will be charged sales tax. Sales tax is calculated based on your city and county rates.

International Shipping

We do not accept international orders at this time. Please contact one of our international distributors for more information on ordering books in your country.

How will I know the status of my order?

Once you submit and pay for your order, you will automatically receive an email confirmation. You will also receive an email once your order has shipped.  If you don't have email, you can call us between 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. PST to check on the status of your order.

Return Policy and Exchanges

All sales are final except in cases of defective merchandise or vendor error. In the event that you receive incorrect or defective merchandise, please contact us ASAP.

Can I order forthcoming titles or books that are out of stock?

We currently do not accept orders on our website for books that are out of stock or not yet published. To inquire about expected availability, or if you would like to be notified when a title becomes available, please call us at toll free (866) 935-2665 ext. 17 or email orders@childrensbookpress.org.
